APGOsJAC, JAC Amaravati contributes Rs 120 CR to CM Relief Fund for flood victims 

In a commendable act of solidarity, the Andhra Pradesh Joint Action Committee (APJAC) Amaravati has donated more than Rs 120 crores, equivalent to one day’s salary from about 10 lakh employees, teachers, and pensioners, to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund to support the flood victims. The donation aims to assist those affected by the devastating floods in the joint Krishna and Guntur districts, caused by heavy rains and the overflowing of the Budameru River.

APJAC Amaravati chairman Bopparaju Venkateshwarlu, associate chairman T V Phani Perraju, treasurer Kanaparthi Sangeeta Rao, along with other leaders, handed over a formal letter to Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, who has been continuously monitoring relief efforts from the Vijayawada district Collector’s office. The floods have had a profound impact, with many victims being small employees, labourers, workers, outsourcing staff, and contract employees, many of whom are still unable to leave their homes.

APJAC Amaravati has called on the government to provide additional assistance to these vulnerable groups. The relief measures being undertaken by the Chief Minister have been praised as exemplary, and the dedication of the 75-year-old leader has been described as inspirational. 

APGOsJAC contributes Rs 8 crore : On other hand, the Andhra Pradesh Government Officers’ Joint Action Committee (APGOsJAC) has decided to donate one day’s basic pay, which is estimated to be approximately 8.1 crores, from the salaries of willing members to the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister’s Relief Fund.

K V Krishnaiah, chairman of APGOsJAC, Ajay Medipalli, secretary general, and Tirupati Naidu M, convener, expressed their gratitude for the opportunity to support the people of Andhra Pradesh during this critical period. In their letter to the Chief Minister, they underscored their commitment to the relief efforts and their willingness to assist in any way possible. E
