The Andhra Pradesh government has removed Gajjela Laxmi from her position as chairman of the Andhra Pradesh Women’s Commission, following the conclusion of her term of office in August. The government issued formal orders on Tuesday for her immediate dismissal, instructing the concerned department to act accordingly. Earlier this morning,
Gajjela Laxmi submitted her resignation from the Chairman’s post, after receiving notice from the government a day prior. Sources within the government indicated that, with the Chairman’s dismissal, the term of the Commission’s members has also come to an end.
