The Andhra Pradesh government has commenced preparations for the release of the DSC 2024 notification in two distinct phases. Under the proposed strategy, the notification will include provisions for conducting the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) concurrently for those who have not participated in the exam in recent years. Additionally, a separate notification, termed Mega DSC, is set to be released exclusively for candidates who have already qualified in the TET exams. Sources indicate that both notifications are scheduled for release on the June 30 of this month, signaling a proactive approach by the government to streamline the recruitment process. Furthermore, preparations are underway to expedite the Mega DSC schedule, with plans to issue appointment orders as early as December 10th. In a bid to enhance local representation in teaching positions, the government has decided to allocate 80 per cent of teacher posts to residents of respective districts. A total of 16,347 teaching positions will be filled through this initiative, with 13,661 posts under the Government School Education Department, 439 under the SC Welfare Department, 170 under the BC Welfare Department, 2,024 under the ST Welfare Department, 49 under the Differently Abled Welfare Department, and 15 dedicated to educating juvenile delinquents.
