AP government cancels previous DSC notification

The Andhra Pradesh government has decided to cancel the DSC notification issued by the previous YSR Congress government in February.

The State School Education Department has issued G.O. Number 256 to this effect. The earlier DSC notification had announced 6,100 posts under the YSRCP government, a move criticized by the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) as an election ploy to attract unemployed voters.

During the election campaign, the TDP had promised a mega DSC notification if elected. Following the formation of the TDP coalition government, chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu fulfilled this promise by signing off on the release of the mega DSC notification, resulting in the cancellation of the previous DSC.

Minister for HRD and IT Nara Lokesh has finalized the procedures for managing the mega DSC, which is expected to offer 16,347 posts. The recent cabinet meeting provided a green signal for the operation of the mega DSC, and preparations are underway for its release.

The notification is anticipated to be issued within the next two to three days. The education department has already begun preparations for the mega DSC, including plans to conduct the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) alongside the DSC. The government, which recently released the TET exam results, has announced another TET for the mega DSC
