CM Chandrababu discussed the need for a new industrial policy to enhance the industrial sector in Andhra Pradesh and regain its brand image. The aim is to make the state’s industrial progress competitive with the top 5 states in the country and achieve a comprehensive development rate of more than 15 percent.

The new industrial policy (2024-29) is currently being designed and the Chief Minister conducted a review of its draft at the Velagapudi Secretariat. The emphasis is on reviving previous favorable conditions and providing confidence to entrepreneurs by providing quick permissions for setting up industries.

Additionally, new policies will be incorporated to promote industries in the fields of green energy, green hydrogen, electric vehicle manufacturing, aqua, and food processing. There will be a meeting with industrialists on the 16th of this month to discuss these proposals further.
