Despite heavy rain, Andhra Pradesh (AP) is currently experiencing flooding on one side. Additionally, the weather department has issued a warning about another storm approaching; within the next 24 hours, AP will be hit by Typhoon Asna. As a result of the incoming typhoon, the sea near Uppada has receded. Local residents are concerned, noting that the sea receding by about 100 meters is a significant cause for alarm.

People suspect that this may be linked to the impending typhoon. Locals have observed that the Uppada coast erodes with each typhoon, and a protective wall made of geo tubes has been constructed there. In light of the typhoon warnings, authorities have advised fishermen against venturing out to sea.
