Roja Alleges Negligence by Chandrababu, Demands Suo Moto Case by Courts

YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) leader and former minister R.K. Roja once again made strong remarks

YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) leader and former minister R.K. Roja once again made strong remarks regarding the recent stampede incident in Tirupati. She alleged that Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu is attempting to evade responsibility for the tragedy. Roja demanded that cases be registered not only against Chandrababu but also against the District Superintendent of Police (SP) and all members of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) Board. Furthermore, she urged courts to take suo moto cognizance of the incident and initiate legal action.

Roja questioned the delay in filing cases against those responsible for the tragedy, stating, “Why haven’t any cases been registered so far, even though several days have passed since the incident?” She accused the Chief Minister and the Deputy Chief Minister of shielding those accountable and failing to give due importance to the lives of devotees. “Didn’t you know that lakhs of devotees would gather for Vaikuntha Ekadashi?” Roja asked, criticizing the administration’s preparedness.

She further highlighted that the coalition government has been in power for seven months, yet the token system for crowd management remains unaddressed. “Why haven’t you removed the token system if it is ineffective? Instead, you are diverting the issue,” Roja alleged.

In a sharp critique of actor-turned-politician Pawan Kalyan, she remarked that his statements are causing confusion among the public. Referring to his comments about actor Allu Arjun, Roja said, “Pawan Kalyan claimed that Allu Arjun lacks humanity. Two people lost their lives while returning from the ‘Game Changer’ event, but Pawan did not even bother to console the victims’ families.”

Roja also criticized the silence of the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) state president regarding the incident and condemned the remarks made by Minister Anam, calling them derogatory.
