NDA alliance triumphs in AP graduate MLC elections

• PRTU wins Teachers’ MLC 
 
The NDA alliance has secured key victories in the Krishna-Guntur Graduate MLC and Godavari districts Graduate MLC seats in the Andhra Pradesh MLC elections. Additionally, the Progressive Recognised Teachers’ Union (PRTU) emerged victorious in the North Coastal Andhra Teachers’ Constituency.
 
In the Krishna-Guntur Graduate MLC seat, TDP candidate Alapati Raja won with a massive majority of 82,319 votes over PDF candidate Lakshmana Rao. Out of the total 2,41,544 votes cast, 26,676 were invalid. Alapati Raja secured 1,45,057 votes, while Lakshmana Rao received 62,737 votes. For the Godavari districts Graduate MLC seat, TDP alliance candidate Perabathula Rajasekhar defeated PDF candidate Veera Raghavulu.
 
Rajasekhar maintained his lead through all seven rounds and secured a total of 1,12,331 votes, while Veera Raghavulu received 41,268 votes. With a lead of 71,063 votes, Rajasekhar’s victory was confirmed as he crossed the 50 percent first-preference vote threshold required for a decisive win.
 
Meanwhile, in the North Coastal Andhra Teachers' Constituency, Gade Srinivasulu Naidu of PRTU secured victory by surpassing the magic figure of 10,068 votes, ultimately receiving 12,035 votes. Election officials formally declared him the winner in the North Coastal Andhra Pradesh Teachers' Constituency, which covers six districts.
