Minister Nadendla Manohar inaugurated newly constructed Mini Gokulam sheds in Attota village of Kollipara Mandal in Tenali constituency on Saturday. These sheds were built as part of the National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (NREGS) to support rural livelihoods and enhance financial stability for farmers. Along with the inauguration, the minister also launched the ongoing "Palle Panduga" Panchayat festival celebrations.
During the event, Minister Nadendla personally fed the cattle and spent some time interacting with the villagers. Speaking on the occasion, he stated, “These Mini Gokulam sheds, developed under NREGS, will provide farmers with much-needed financial security and employment opportunities. Under this scheme, farmers contribute 10% of the setup costs, while the government offers a 90% subsidy.” He emphasized that this initiative is aimed at bolstering the rural economy and improving farmers’ livelihoods.
Despite financial constraints faced by the state, the government continues to implement welfare schemes successfully, Nadendla added. Criticizing the previous government’s performance, he alleged that basic tasks such as filling village pits were left incomplete during their tenure. He further mentioned that significant rural infrastructure development has taken place since the appointment of Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan. “Under the ‘Palle Panduga’ initiative, rural roads were constructed last year, and Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan has allocated an additional ₹25 crore for further road development in Tenali constituency,” Nadendla stated.
Later, Minister Nadendla visited the Anganwadi center in Attota village, where he distributed Bhogi fruits to children and inaugurated Sankranti festivities.
