The Andhra Pradesh CID has issued lookout circulars (LOCs) against YSR Congress Party MP Vijayasai Reddy, YV Subba Reddy's son Vikrant Reddy, and Aurobindo Pharma owner Sarath Chandra Reddy. The action aims to prevent them from fleeing the country as they are key accused in an alleged Rs 3,600 crore scam involving Kakinada Sea Port Limited and Kakinada SEZ.
The trio has been accused of forcibly acquiring shares from Karnati Venkateswara Rao (KV Rao) during the previous government. According to the CID, Aurobindo Pharma allegedly gained majority shares through intimidation, including threats of illegal cases and imprisonment, to compel KV Rao to relinquish his stakes.
Based on KV Rao's complaint, the CID registered a case and named Vijayasai Reddy, Vikrant Reddy, and Sarath Chandra Reddy as the primary accused. Investigators are currently recording KV Rao's statement and plan to interrogate other individuals linked to the case. Lookout notices have been sent to all airports nationwide to ensure the accused cannot leave the country. CID sources indicate that further notices will soon be issued to summon them for questioning.
