Kolikapudi appears before party disciplinary committee

Thiruvur TDP MLA Kolikapudi Srinivas appeared before the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) Disciplinary Committee at the party's central office on Monday. The meeting, which began at 11 a.m., was convened to address allegations of the MLA's involvement in an incident that has caused significant controversy.

The party high command has taken serious note of allegations that the MLA assaulted a Scheduled Tribe (ST) family in his constituency on January 11. The incident reportedly occurred in Gopalapuram village of A. Konduru mandal, where disputes had arisen between tribal families over an internal road.

According to allegations, MLA Kolikapudi intervened in the dispute and physically assaulted a member of the family. This led to the man's wife attempting to end her life by consuming pesticide.

She was immediately rushed to the hospital, sparking public outrage and condemnation. In light of this incident, the TDP leadership swiftly issued a notice to Kolikapudi Srinivas, directing him to appear before the disciplinary committee.
