The Andhra Pradesh government has announced compensation for the families of those who died in the stampede incident in Tirupati. Revenue Minister Anagani Satya Prasad stated that each affected family will receive Rs. 25 lakhs.

Ministers Anagani Satya Prasad, Anitha, Parthasarathy, and Anam Ramanarayana Reddy visited the families of the deceased at Roya Hospital in Tirupati. They also spoke with the injured at SWIMS Hospital and consulted with the doctors. Later, Anagani held a press conference, expressing his condolences and describing the incident as unfortunate, especially occurring at the beginning of Vaikuntha Ekadashi.

He suggested that the incident may have been due to hasty actions and a lack of coordination, and he indicated that the investigation would clarify the details.

Home Minister Anitha confirmed that an investigation is underway to determine whether the stampede was an accident or the result of a conspiracy. She emphasized that the investigation will utilize CCTV footage to identify any failures. Anitha assured that strict action would be taken against those responsible, regardless of their position, and expressed a commitment to preventing such incidents in the future.
