On the occasion of Potti Sriramulu's death anniversary, AP Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan paid tribute by garlanding his statue in Vijayawada on Sunday. While speaking to his fans, who asked him to speak louder, Pawan responded, "It's not a death anniversary; it's not appropriate to shout." He emphasized that we should celebrate the death and birth anniversaries of great leaders and ensure that their contributions are remembered by future generations. 

Pawan Kalyan praised Potti Sriramulu, who sacrificed his life after 53 days of fasting for the creation of a separate Andhra state. He described Potti Sriramulu as someone who lived for society, the state, and the country. Pawan stated that the significance of Potti Sriramulu became truly apparent after the bifurcation of the state. He noted that while you may find Potti Sriramulu's statue in the Arya Vaishya community, he is not defined by any caste but is a leader who is celebrated across the nation. 

He appreciated the documentary about Potti Sriramulu, saying that he learned many lessons from history books and recognized that Potti Sriramulu sacrificed his life for the survival of the Telugu people. He pointed out that national leadership at the time opposed the creation of linguistic states.

He mentioned the challenges faced, remarking that Chandrababu Naidu led the party effectively and brought it closer to the people. Pawan expressed his belief that through Vision 2047, development can be achieved beyond caste barriers. He urged those who criticize Vision 2047 to remember the goals of Vision 2020. He cited the transformation of areas in Hyderabad that were once rocky and muddy, expressing confidence that Andhra Pradesh will develop in all aspects. Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan reiterated his commitment to advancing Vision 2047.
