BRS MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha has criticized the central government

BRS MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha has criticized the central government, alleging that the announcement of the Turmeric Board was made with political motives. Speaking to the media in Hyderabad, she welcomed the establishment of the board but expressed strong disapproval of the manner in which the central government handled the issue.

Kavitha questioned why the state agriculture minister and local representatives were not informed about the decision, claiming the announcement was made solely for political purposes. She emphasized that if the decision were genuinely intended to benefit farmers, the government should have also declared a minimum support price (MSP) for turmeric.

“People are observing everything,” Kavitha remarked, adding that the BRS party has consistently fought for the establishment of the Turmeric Board. She highlighted her efforts during her tenure as an MP to push for the board’s creation and reiterated her commitment to farmers’ welfare.

Kavitha also directed attention to Nizamabad MP Arvind Dharmapuri, stating that it was his responsibility to bring an airport to Nizamabad, underscoring her continued focus on regional development.
