In a tragic incident at the Palace Cinema Theater in Rayadurgam, Anantapur district, a 40-year-old man, Madhyahnappa, collapsed and died while watching the highly anticipated film Pushpa 2: The Rule. The incident occurred during the screening of the movie, and Madhyahnappa, a fan of Allu Arjun, suddenly became unwell.
His family members confronted the theater staff over the decision to continue the movie, which led to a heated argument. The police had to intervene to manage the situation and halt the screening. An investigation has been launched, and a case has been registered.
This follows a similar tragedy that occurred earlier during the premiere of Pushpa 2 on December 4. A 35-year-old woman lost her life, and her 13-year-old son was severely injured in a stampede at Sandhya Theatre in Hyderabad. The chaos erupted when fans rushed to catch a glimpse of Allu Arjun,
who made an unexpected appearance, leading to a suffocation incident. The young boy was hospitalized, and the police have registered cases against Allu Arjun and the theater management for their roles in the unfortunate events.
In response to the earlier tragedy, Allu Arjun pledged a donation of Rs 25 lakhs to support the family of the deceased woman and also promised to cover the medical expenses for her son. Directed by Sukumar, Pushpa 2: The Rule has been a massive success, grossing over Rs 875 crore globally within just five days of its release.
