The remote village of Jangalapalli in Telangana’s Mulugu district is in the throes of a chilling crisis, with 20 unexplained deaths reported in just two months. Every four to five days, the village loses a resident, leaving families shattered and the entire community in fear. Yet, shockingly, not a single government official or health department team has visited the village to investigate.

Villagers are living in constant dread, bracing themselves for the next death. Some families have fled, convinced that staying in Jangalapalli could be fatal. Rumors and superstitions are running rampant, with many attributing the mysterious deaths to ghosts or a curse. In a village where belief in the supernatural remains strong, the lack of a clear explanation has only fueled panic. Adding to their despair, the villagers feel abandoned by Telangana Minister Seethakka, who was elected with a resounding majority from this region. They accuse her of ignoring their plight, leaving them to grapple with this crisis alone.

“People who go to hospitals are coming back as corpses,” lamented a distraught villager, highlighting the eerie and unexplained nature of these deaths. The absence of any visible illness in many cases has deepened the mystery, with even young and healthy individuals falling victim. The villagers are demanding immediate action, calling for health camps to be set up in the area to collect blood samples and conduct thorough investigations. However, instead of intervention, rumors about vermin infestations and ghostly activity are dominating conversations, pushing the village further into chaos.

In desperation, elders are considering traditional rituals and offerings to appease village deities like Bodrai, hoping for divine intervention. But as the deaths continue unabated, the fear and frustration in Jangalapalli are mounting. The situation in Jangalapalli has become a glaring example of administrative apathy. Without urgent action to uncover the truth behind these deaths, the village risks spiraling deeper into despair, leaving its people to fight both fear and tragedy alone.
