Andaman and Nicobar Islands records 63.9% Poll percentage

On Friday, 63.9% out of 3.15 lakh voters in Andaman and Nicobar Islands cast their votes for the Lok Sabha seat in the Union territory. The polling was peaceful without any untoward incidents. The Nicobar district recorded the highest turnout of 72.7%. The Shompens of Nicobar District exercised their voting rights for the first time, and 12 candidates contested for the seat. The key contest was between BJP’s Bishnu Pada Ray and Congress’ Kuldeep Rai Sharma, the sitting MP.
