The price of aluminium increased by 0.89% on Monday, reaching Rs 243.25 per kilogram in futures trading. This rise was attributed to speculators taking new positions, influenced by a positive trend in the spot market. Specifically, aluminium contracts for June delivery on the Multi Commodity Exchange saw a 0.89% increase, or Rs 2.15, reaching Rs 243.25 per kg, with a turnover of 3,323 lots. Analysts noted that the surge in aluminium prices was supported by the creation of new positions by traders, driven by demand from consuming industries in the futures market
