Akhilesh Yadav Criticizes BJP’s “400 Paar” Slogan, Predicts Struggle for Even 140 Seats

Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav claimed that the BJP’s “400 paar” slogan for the Lok Sabha polls would not be successful and the party would struggle to win even 140 seats. He also alleged that the companies that made large donations to the BJP through electoral bonds have been recovering the money by increasing commodity prices, leading to high inflation across the nation.

Addressing a joint rally in support of the Congress’ Deoria Lok Sabha candidate Akhilesh Pratap Singh and SP candidate Ajay Kumar Singh from Kushinagar, Yadav stated that a “wind of change is blowing in Uttar Pradesh”.

He expressed confidence that the BJP would be wiped out from Uttar Pradesh when the votes are counted on June 4, and added that not only the government at the Centre, but the media would also undergo change after the Lok Sabha poll results. Yadav also criticized the BJP’s “400-par” slogan, stating that those promoting the slogan would end up losing seats. He remarked that those dreaming of 143 seats would struggle to even get 140 seats due to the will of the 140 crore people.

He urged people to be cautious when casting their votes and questioned the BJP’s intentions to change the Constitution and end reservation.

Yadav also promised to scrap the Agniveer scheme if the INDIA bloc forms the government at the Centre. During a joint rally in Gorakhpur with Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, Yadav criticized the government for leaking question papers for recruitment exams and promised free flour and mobile data for farmers if the INDIA bloc forms the government.

Voting in Deoria, Gorakhpur, and Kushinagar will be held in the seventh phase on June 1.
