The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has cleared Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu of any involvement in the Skill Development Case. The ED’s investigation found no evidence linking Naidu to fund diversion or illegal transactions. The agency also clarified that Naidu was not connected to the recent asset attachment related to the case.
During the previous government’s tenure, Naidu was arrested without prior notice in the Skill Development case and was held for 53 days before being granted bail. The court emphasized that no evidence of illegal transactions was presented by the CID officials during the bail hearing.
Following Naidu’s arrest, the political landscape in Andhra Pradesh saw significant changes. For instance, Nara Lokesh temporarily halted the Yuvagalam padayatra, and Naidu’s wife, Nara Bhuvaneshwari, actively engaged with the public, visiting the families of the deceased and offering support on behalf of the Telugu Desam Party.
