A distressing incident occurred at the Bonduguda Tribal Welfare Girls Ashram High School in the Araku Constituency of Alluri Seetharamaraju district, where 40 female students fell seriously ill after consuming contaminated food. The incident sparked immediate concern, and the Ashram staff swiftly transported the ailing students to the Araku Area Hospital for urgent medical attention.
District officials have confirmed that the affected students are receiving the best possible care. The situation drew the attention of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, who inquired into the incident. The Chief Minister’s Office promptly communicated with district authorities to assess the students’ health conditions and emphasized the need for enhanced medical treatment.
CM Naidu expressed concern over the situation, urging officials to ensure that such incidents are not repeated. District medical officer Jamal Basha provided reassurance, stating that the health condition of the students is currently stable and that all necessary measures are being taken to aid their recovery.
